Party in the park
The Community Outreach Program offers life-changing events that are open to the community. Our biggest event, Party in the Park, is an all day music festival providing recreation, socialization, culture and education. The "party" is open to the community and serves to foster community development and healthier neighborhoods. All the artists who go through our Artist Development Program work towards the opportunity to perform at Party in the Park to showcase their work and leave a positive footprint in their community.
Music Therapy
Using music to heal the world is a bold objective that HMS has fully embraced. Our Music Therapy Outreach Program focuses on using music and all of its facets-physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic, and spiritual-to help improve the quality of life of individuals. Participants engage in listening, song writing, creating, performing and other activities related to music to address their needs and provide an overall sense of well-being. The Music Therapy Program provides emotional support for participants and their families as well as an outlet for expression of feelings. HMS partners with non-profits and other groups who share the same passion to use music to heal both the body and the soul.
